School of Humanities
The School of Humanities at King’s is one of the world’s leading faculties in the arts and humanities. We have been consistently rated as one of the top faculties of its kind by the
Times Higher-QS World University Rankings. Thirteen of our fourteen departments are ranked in the top six in the UK based on the research output judged as ‘world class’ and ‘internationally excellent’, according to the most recent 2008 RAE.

Our teaching is provided by a
distinguished network of scholars whose
discoveries and ideas form the bedrock of their lectures, seminars and tutorials. We enjoy particularly close relations with a select number of strategic international partners, whose faculty regularly spend time at King’s to exchange ideas and knowledge with our staff and students. The truly international
learning experience we provide reflected in our students’ outstanding career prospects upon graduation.
We are located on the historic Strand campus, situated on the River Thames opposite the National Theatre, with spectacular views of the Houses of Parliament. The School is a creative and cultural leader in its own right, with unrivalled connections to world-class arts organisations and institutions, including the British Museum, Shakespeare's Globe, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), the National Portrait Gallery and the British Library. As a
knowledge & culture hub in London we aspire to intellectual leadership, creative innovation and public service in the arts and humanities.
