The department provides a centralised service for the whole College and has offices on the major 5 campuses.The main administration office is Room 23B, Main Building, Strand Campus.
The function of Audio Visual Services within the College is to provide audio visual support for lectures and conferences but it also carries out the following work for both staff and students within the College and external clients.
- Video conferencing facilities
- Video and audio recording of events and lectures
- Video and audio dubbing
- Digital video editing
- Off-air and satellite recording
Audio Visual equipment booking
Staff responsible for booking equipment for classes and seminars should note the following:
All equipment apart from overhead projectors (which are always available in each room and lecture theatre and are constantly maintained) should be booked using our booking form in the "Quicklinks" on the righthand side of this page.
Please enter the correct start and end time of the class - DO NOT enter the start time as 30 minutes before the class is due to begin as this offen means that AV staff waste time going to an empty room where they cannot leave equipment unattended.
If a block booking has been made and you discover in certain weeks the equipment is not required please tell us by sending a quick email to: avsu@kcl.ac.uk This ensures that we do not waste time and leave equipment in an empty room.
