Help with downloading documents

Documents on this website are available for download in various formats.

If you cannot access documents on the site, you may not have the correct software installed.

Links to free readers are provided below. By downloading and installing these programmes on your computer, you should be able to open the documents.

File types and viewers

Portable Document Format (PDF)

Many documents on the website are available in Portable Document Format (PDF).

To view these files you will need to download and install the free Acrobat Reader.

Rich Text Format (.rtf)

To view Rich Text Format files you will need a text reader.

For example, see TextMaker Viewer 2008.

Microsoft Office software

Many documents on this site have been provided as Microsoft Office documents.

If you do not have Microsoft Office, download one of the free viewers from the Microsoft website.

Viewers are available for:

  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Project
  • Visio
  • Word

Converters and viewers are also available for Macintosh users.
